Hot news : my valve buffer is alive. 4.7µF MKP are joining the buffer and amp modules. What i can say is that even with an NIGC the Valve buffer bring significant improvements : sound transparency, more details, greater bass, larger and deaper sound stage..

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

WIthout the buffer yes but i had some trouble with thevalve psu pcb, and had to order some new parts and epoxy. This fact combined with less time....but today it's done and sound great...I prefered take more time to do right first time and i think it was the good way : first connection first good sound...

And it shows!
They were bougth on an US on-line shop, but you can easily replaced them with audyn cap ( Plus - Elektronic ) or mundorf cap ( Hifisound )
I used solen because i haved them in stock. Solen can be find to on
Tube town, but prices are much expensive to me compared mundorf and audyn cap ones.

Very neat and thought out. Congratulations!
Just a small question: what connectors are those you use to secure the cable interconnections, the orange ones? Are those bronze screws or are they tin/nickel plated?
Carlos
They are normal Ci connectors. My partsupplier has this orange one instead grey one..

2 newbie questions:
In the circuit for the heater you have an lm317 regulation is it correct that the unmarked items surrounding the lm317 are two diodes (1N4002) and an adjustable resistor 5k?
Does the make(manufacturer) of the capacitors some were in the valve circuit play a big role in the quality of the outcome?
By the way Marc your work is very impressive both the layout of the interior and your craft skills.

Thanks. You are right the heater PSU is regulated through a LM317.
The output capacitor (4.7µF) play a important rôle in sound quality. The signal pass direct in this. High quality capacitor as MKP/MKP oil/Paper are recommended here. The other is the 1µMKP one ine the valve PSU but simple MKP one are good enough.
