100W Ultimate Fidelity Amplifier

I am not sure, but I believe that bd140 works in ON/OFF regime (fully opened or fully closed) as a switch,so it doesn't need heatsink. without heatsink pcb could be a bit smaller. at least one cm wich is pretty much in this case... nicely done, by the way!

hello 44250,
thanks!. Without putting too much efforts, here is heatsink removed. I was able to shave off 5mm on one side and 3 mm on the other:).
regards
Prasi

Dear apex sir, and the moderator please help me to understand the meaning about the apex amplifier prefix added symbol (A) before an amplifier like A5,A9,A14,A15 etc

My guess is like 'A' series stands for CFA amp (A- Current/Ampere), and 'AX' stands for VFA amp models. As Prasi commented, when I counted the number of transistors in A40 and A33, it is 40 and 33 respectievely. I might be wrong :)

Thanks.
