hey men, a technical question about heatsink

i must use an aluminium profilate (L) to screw the final transistor to my heatsink.
the only profilate I found is 2mm thick, 3cmx3cm...do you think 2mm is too thin? or it can be also good?

The way you've made your PCB you can't use a L shape profile.The PCB has to be a bit larger see pic

Would like something like this cause don't have enough space in the chassis to put the L shape as in your picture

what about the thickness of the L shape??

I found an L shape 3mm thick. Can't find a thicker one and dont know if it is good or not

For my Blame ST I also used a 3mm L shape.

How was the temperature with 3mm?

The Blame ST doesn't get hot.I even tested mine only with the L shape as sink for a long time.
A drawback: my L shape was 4mm but I think 3mm is also good.It will transfer the heat fast enough to the main sink

I'm gonna finish my blame but this time I used TIP35/36.
I know many of you will not agree...

edit: what I need now is an idea of wiring the amp in a neat way-.
with dual supply there are always cable going around in the case

If you use Sprint layout you can convert the pdf into a sprint layout file .

Apex site is an enourmos source of schemativs, layouts...awesome!!!!

Could anybody please suggest a fully tested schematics for dc speaker protection to insert in the dx blame amp? I looked at the one published by carlos but in the 3d seems it is not fully tested and working...many thanks

I use this circuit (originally from Silicon Chip Magazine) in my DX Blame ST. One board per channel. It delays speaker turn on, and fast disconnects speakers when main power is off. And the main protection is against DC on the output. Well, I have had one occurence of DC after an exccessive input signal blew up one of the channels (one driver and one output transistor), and nothing happenend to the speakers.

is the blame not so reliable????
