Caddock MP930'es added to wishlist - aiming for about 1A. 120VA 2*15V is on the list.
What else? A nice box? Started to gather ideas. For pot I got a Khozmo Stepped Attenuator with Caddock MK132 + Vishay/Dale RN5 which I will start with. Selector is a cannibalized Mesmerize controlled by either an Elna switch or digital. If digital it has to allow me to change the volumepot to something digital and be remote controllable as well.

I dont know about those thick film Caddocks. In speaker filters I think they are totally unuable. My absolute favourite in precision power resistors is Isabellenhutte. https://www1.elfa.se/data1/wwwroot/assets/datasheets/axPHB_dat_e.pdf
But different stuff for different applications I guess.

One problem:
Resistance range 2 mOhm - 100 Ohm

Resistance range 2 mOhm - 100 Ohm
Sorry - NO problem thats 2 milliohms to 100 ohms
I'll look into them - thanks
Hi again
My R-core transformer turned up; it measures 17.4V on both outputs. Am I good to go, or should I get another one with lower output rating?
Is that freewheeling? It will lower a bit when loaded

Parallell two 10 ohm and sink them and you have an exellent setting resistor for hotrod. Or lower. Im into doing that on my new one.

My Khozmo did not last for long. Never Khozmo again.

Sorry to hear - but why?

It tells you on the label that it is a 15Vac transformer.Hi again
My R-core transformer turned up; it measures 17.4V on both outputs. Am I good to go, or should I get another one with lower output rating?
But it only gives out 15Vac when the supply is 230Vac and the load is 15VA.
If you send in something other than 230Vac then the output will change in proportion.
If your load is not 15r on each winding then the output will be higher.
Lost contact inside.
? I believe it is measured in open air without load.

Might have done . Erlend did you loose contact and have a problem?

I measured the outputs without load At least I know it works, which also was the purpose of hooking it up.
...but I must have been slightly unconcious when ordering; 15VA is pretty far from the 50VA which Salas recommended. Good thing though; it will fit my RIAA nicely
15VA per winding. Look at the label.
That's 1Aac from each winding.
When feeding a capacitor input filter the maximum current draw will be around 500mAdc .
de-rate this by ~50% to allow the transformer to run cool, i.e.250mAdc continuously and runs cool.
Good to see that you are almost back to normal Andrew
