is the Usbridge Signature bundled with the Shanti/Nirvana recommended to power (5V) the amanero board?

Nirvana and Rev manufacturing is going on , sorry to say that it will take a few days more since I have instructed each board to be tested for noise (Nirvana) and THD (Rev)

That is a good idea, QC and more QC actually saves you AND the customer time and money, even though it takes some extra time. I will definately try out the Nirvana SMPS. All the best, Per

Do you know how much power Amanero needs ?

from the Amanero's pdf:
"Powered by USB 5V bus. Power Consumption is 605 mW at max speed. The module mounts an ultra low noise LDO ADP-151-3.3V"

Could you share the info what LDO is used in the Usbridge Signature to power external USB card e.g the amanero?

Nirvana has only one output


USbridge does not have LDO for USB power since its 5V in and 5V out. Instead we used passive filters and lots of decoupling caps


600mW at 5V means around 120ma. You can power up it easily .

I compared noises on both units and Sig wins. We removed the DC/DC convertors from old USbridge we went to 8 layers PCB (instead of 4). We used common mode chokes and filters on each line. All power rails have a dedicated LDO



I cannot answer on how does it translate to SQ

Thanks! I believe SQ differences will be quite dependent on DAC used further up...
