I too may have to hold my next project. I found a fantastic Chinese table and chairs in a flea market that I bought and now need to refurb. Re-glue legs, touch up paint, new seat pillows etc. Maybe its an excuse for the little Porter Cable buffer I want to buff out speaker cabinets with! Always have to figure out what new tool I need for every project.

At least I finished making my subs high WAF. ( see stealth sub)

Thanks, yes, it looks good. I think the port will reduce noise and hopefully also the higher frequency transmission line resonance. I also may use damping material in the flow port to tune in the resonance frequency.

A shallow subwoofer, a metal dome tweeter, a nice midrange and i also have the 8 Ohm
version of the Satori mid-bass.

i guess you really have been busy these days.

i thought the shallow sub was intended for car use, but i guess it makes sense for compact full range speakers.

Also a sub can be made that can be placed against a wall, nearly invisible. I like the parameters too because a closed box works well.

SB Acoustics' drivers will look amazing in a transparent acrylic structure.

I'm picturing a clone of Gainphile's S20-Z. These shallow bass drivers in the bottom bin, Satori mid on the baffle...

Hi Joachim, I'll be interested to see your impedance measurements of the mid (one driver delta mass shown) . T/S came out pretty close to published specs. I'm not sure what causes the glitch at around 65Hz though, could be something in my setup.

Is the Satori cone material and the E18RNX cone material the same?

No, SB has a trademark on " Egyptian Papyrus". Seas uses what they call a "Reed Cone".
They look different and they perform different but both materials are stiffer then simple pulp paper.
