few months ago i was to ETF european triode festival in France
VinylSavor: ETF 2018 in France
and the shootout was win by Gilles we discover the wonderfull sound of power grid transmitting dht triode 100TH
i just fall in love!
these triodes need 24H heather a year to be safe
the best of thems are eimac wings plate tantalum platinium thorium etc

the proto amp i build sound fantastic input stage 6SN7 and CF choke loaded driver parallel 6BX7 direct coupled to 100TH grid

That’s a very beautiful amp. I guest it sound great!
But you probably post the wrong schematic since I do not see 6bx7 in your schematic?

this was the starting point ended with 6BX7 and mosfet regulated +B +- 300V fixing 100TH bias
also try this attached schematics but the initial simplest do perfectly the job
should not push to 100Watts SE for tube life these are pulse triodes

power grid should be positive and draw current so direct coupled to driver cathode yes

Hello all !

I just finished two 100TH monoblocks and the sound is amasing, power and clarity from highs to lows without fatigue.
Far away from a tubby sound !
The power is 20 watts rms.

Yes it is.
22-24 ma 100TH grid current , 33-36 volt positive.
These very good Chantam are scarce to find !

Does any of you 100th builders have an opinion on Lewis & Kaufman JAN-CBOP-100TH ? They are available locally. I'm slowly gathering parts for a build myself.

Those sharp looking Mullards with the ice blue beams between the discs are coming in a close second for me. This is VT "porn" at its best - thanks for making me feel what it's like to "want" again ;') Look but dont touch!

Hello, I have some L&K 100TH, they are ok and thé sound is perhaps a little less refined vs wings Eimac,
usually they polarise hotter than Eimac in same circuit .
I had one faultly but you always need more 100TH you need because some are bad by all makers.

It is just 100TH Single Ended Triode ( B+ 1250Vdc - OTP 4K2 / 8 ohm )
Driving with 809 Tube and 10Y Tube as Input.
The PS using WE 249C HW Mercury rectifier.
