Has anyone come across a design that use the 12BZ7 outside of guitar amps?

I found these in my collection of schematics.

How come that -30VDC magically shews up off the rectifier cathode? There is a way to get the -30V bias required but this won't work.
If you would like to do something really unique, a single or two 12BZ7s as zero bias Class B amps would be interesting. The kind of thing that was used as an AM modulator, it can drive a loudspeaker too.:)
The examples are based on the 12AX7.
