Okey doke, and my locale of course....I was on the big bouncy ball beach just the other dayIt wasn't missed Matt.
Number six
Number two
Number one, the one we never saw
I just changed the subject a wee. That seems popular around here.
There is something mildly disturbing about this combination of words. Do you Penrhyndeudraeth'ers always speak like this?big bouncy ball beach
So, the intent was to take revenge, that is it turned personal.
There was no revenge, only an effort to point out hypocrisy. No legit high end audio designer gets rich, there are business expenses there too. Sure, there are crooks in the audio business just like in other businesses, but not everyone is a crook. Probably the same for semiconductor manufacturing, except the executives might get rich. Why is it then that the audio designers can understand why opamps might sell for a seemingly high price, but to opamp designers high end audio is all a rip off. They are the ones who are willfully blind to other people's legitimate business realities.

At least two dozen friends of mine are semiconductor circuit designers who got quite rich by being very good at asking SPICE the right questions. Top-1% according to these numbers. It can be done, I've seen it.
Steve made me aware of these typical British hybrid speakers.
The electrostats are no point sources but oscilating spheres.
Within their website there is a reference to an AES paper where the principle was explained.
Didn’t have the time yet to read, but it sounds intriguing.

As it's friday, the turntable equivalent of a barn find
BBC RP2/6 Turntable Console - Garrard 401 Based, Complete - COLLECTION ONLY | eBay
buried in there is a garrard 401. But why a turntable would need a spring delay is beyond me.

You're right about most of that. There was no revenge, only an effort to point out hypocrisy. No legit high end audio designer gets rich, there are business expenses there too. Probably most successful audio business down this way is Rode Microphones.
Made in Australia. I believe they now do over 1 million mics / year.
I can tell you he (Peter) got there through a lot of d@mn hard work.

Somehow I don't see any crooks in the semiconductor industry, but mostly people working hard to push the limits of technology. Of course, nobody qualifies as an angel, but charging $5 extra for an op amp with datasheet and guaranteed performance and charging $10,000 extra for a piece of garbage audio with a rubber stamped "high end audio" brand look different to me.
For $10,000 I will tell you the secret of true absolute fidelity audio!
Well, that just proves you don't know... $10,000 is *far* too cheap....
