Let's see. The world is experiencing " once n a 100 year storms " twice a year but the weather isn't changing. How's that work?
Maybe cause its not? Look up what the hottest and coldest dates recorded are. Its totally random.

It used to be that the changes in temperature (seasonal) were something like a sine wave with noise. Now it is looking more like a square wave.
We just went from the high 80s of late summer to the high 50s of late fall approaching winter in two weeks.
In my 67 years on this dirt ball things have been changing.
Stick your head in the sand if you wish, but it was plain to me in the late 60s that this was coming, and it is plain to me to see that it is here now.

I thought it was always referred to as the third rock.In my 67 years on this dirt ball things have been changing.
But, those changes are pretty much sinusoidal with minor aborations. They are not square waves.
I wouldn't call an ice age minor.
There are also the ice ages that occur every 10,000 years.
But since the earth is only <7000 yr. old how could there have been any ice ages?

Where do you get 7000 from?
The earth is millions of years old !

Short term, (I'm 67) not long term.
Long term I suspect the Ice Age was sinusoidal as well. At least not a step response.
Scott, you know better than to go there, unless you are biting your tongue.

He's REALLY talkin' "off topic" now. We in the USA know where that comes from.Where do you get 7000 from?

I once spotted a really stupid safety film about a broken CF lamp.At least LED bulbs got rid of the mercury in CFLs.
They made a huge fuss and claimed that the mercury would kill anyone whom went into the building for hours.
The things only contain a microdot of mercury.
Dental fillings contain a lot more mercury than CF lamps.
4.7mg according to this article, although I suspect a 48" 40W lamp may contain more in my garage.

Know what's even sadder?
Knowing that Cal has to proofread this entire thread, right after working hard fixing roofs to weed out the bad posts.
Anyway, any serious scientist knows that the entire universe is in my front pouch and whenever I touch it a massive cataclysm occurs and millions of people die.

Welcome to the era of New Puritanism. Apparently religion was not to blame, people just have this inner need to compensate periods of well being with periods of intense self flagellation and suffering. In the past major wars have provided such periods naturally.
So happy my life has largely passed through much happier times of human history. Mostly laughing at political correctness, climate alarmists and the rights of those with multi-gender issues.
Won't even mention the Metoo wars
Here is an article which expresses beautifully a similar viewpoint.

Nigel, you fail to bring up the probable 2030 mini ice age predicted by research of Prof. Zharkova as reported by the British news last year like here.... There are also the ice ages that occur every 10,000 years.
