i thought so ok thanks. i ask because i keep blowing the tl072c, and shorting out the 2 q4 & q5 mspa56-06. i cant seem to find out why. I thought i may have them backwards.

i mean q4 and q5 two small transistors at the top of the board. next to the rectifier

Do you mean rectifiers? Why do you consider your problem, he saw very little of them fail the truth.

Would one be able to verify the condition based on the VF of .92 while in the circuit?

Check D118 and D119 zener diodes, these provide the +/- 15V to the base of Q4 and Q6 for voltage regulation to the various op-amps. D118 (feeds base of Q4 mpsa56) dies more often then D119 (feeds base of Q6 mpsa06). The part number for D118/119 is MMSZ5245B. Make sure to look at marking to install correctly. D118 is - voltage, D119 is +.
