Too many of these together can also sooth the waves and result in less energy? Probably need to figure out a distribution pattern and power generation per area of ocean as well. Maybe even plant them at the pottom of the sea like sea weeds and let them move around (not patentable now 😀 ).
Good thinking!

Hm, it has not much to do with class D or DYI (unless sold as dyi kits to for example fishers who might use it for driving their ships with the purest hydrogen)

This is some of the basic considerations when you want to project a wave system. But basicly the available power in waves is emmense. Many times the total consumption of the world.
But we are probably going a bit too off topic now 😀
Edit: Yes Anzgar you are right, back to Class D DIY Audio...!

Anyway the (wave) energy is an interesting topic.I guess there are forums where such worldly phenomena are discussed or else start one.
😀

Yes, but this isn't really one of them! 🙂

If you say so...what do you think about wind energy?...😀 😀
what struck me when i looked through the site of LC audio was the price. the 700xe is one expencive piece of amp.
nice distortion figures though 🙂
and thats all there is to it 😉

Very true!
From the producer's view, if you make a standard circuit, that you have available, then you can actually produce Class d amplifiers very cheap. But in this case a new ground breaking technology cost a lot of money to develope, which has to be divided over relatively few sold units. This results in a higher price.
From the user's view, when you add the cost of transformer, power supply and a nice enclosure, the modules will end up being only a portion of the total cost of the amplifier. In this case raising the total cost from say 1000 $ to 1400 $ for the complete amp.
And the difference you have from the higher price is .. performance, and excellence that will bring you musical revelations every day for years. I think a good amplifier is worth spending a little extra on, compared to saving a few bucks and not really using the amp so often, because it simply doesn't give you the kick. Have done that myself several times 🙂
And 1400 $ is still very cheap for a high end amplifier.
If i was to make a new module, i wouldn't focus on the price first. Instead i would work on making ultra high performance (sound quality). Secondly i would focus on making good documentation, and effective delivery and customer support, air tight quality control and a good product briefing of the sales and support crew.
Just some thought on pricing in general.

Of course to be well prepared:
1..Have a world class product, that you are sure everyone will talk about.
2..Have your product in stock, so you can ship the same day.
3..Have an air tight quality control system.
4..Have good documentation for each product, so it's easy for the users to take your product in use with no problems. And have your documentation available online.
5..Your sales and support team must be well educated to give customers good advice, and help them to a good result before and after sales.
6..A warranty system that works, not only on paper, but one that handles rightous warranty requests with 'same day' speed.
7..A marketing strategy, at least 12 months ahead.
8..And of course i have a few extra ideas i will keep to myself for now 😉
I think this is a solid recipe for making a successful business.

Good reflections! For some reason , this makes me think of two books; A Course in Miracles , and Structure of Magic...These are real ones, and probably even needed ones, given the circumstances.😕
It's not Lars' doing. I just think someone needs to put down the bottle is all. There's probably a book for that too.
Hey, anyone seen American Inventor? "Everything is going to be alllllllright" 😀

hmm .... They don't show 'American Inventor' over here 🙁 Maybe in a year or two. 🙂
I don't consider the points to be magic and miracles. Rather they take a systematic approach, and some work to set up. Fully possible to implement though. And then i will be prepared to reenter the audio industry with a new solid business model, and a new brand. But the bottom line is: good product make not successful business alone. (Sorry about the chinese accent 😀 )

haha, i can appreciate the humor, all to true.
and when one doesent even have good products..
i dont shop chineese anymore if it can be avoided.
prefer to invest, not to consume.
For once, I was a bit meagre. The title of the book about "magic",
was given in a situation were two people working with aid to an African country, were driven to a meeting in a car that made loud noises and could not reach a speed of more than 25mph. Asked if it was possible to do something about the problem, as othervice they would be late to the meeting, the (native) driver said," no,we have tried."..but one of the passengers insited to have a look under the hood. He then corrected the fault in short time, and the car was now running in a normal way. The driver exclaimed:"it´s magic!" This is the background to the title of the book, noting is magic, once we understand!😉
This is my maybe strained association, there is noting "magic" about doing business once you understand what it´s all about.
As for miracles, I don´t belive in them , but if LC-audio get to a point were we have no reason to criticize them any longer, perhapes I will call it an everyday tale, but a definite very positive one,or even a tale bordering on a miracle?

Aaaaaaaaaa ok, you are talking about LC audio, ok, well then i would have to agree with you. But i have nothing to do with them anymore, except i worked there 8 months ago.
