When you are paying rent on a warehouse full of tubes, and you don't even know what types you have, or how many.

I was given these tubes for free. I had to rent a U-Haul and go pick them up in Orlando - 200 Miles away. It took three trips. They were placed in this (and another) warehouse rather quickly and in an unorganized fashion. I have been sorting and catalogging tubes for over 2 years. There are still boxes that I haven't opened. Most are loose tubes in large boxes. Quite a few are broken. Someone had already removed the "audiophile tubes".

Based on the number of tubes in a few boxes and the number of boxes, I have at least 100000 tubes.
