Still have to peel off the scrapnel, but that was easily done:

Yes, it is very versatile.
Apart from tracing and cut from jpeg, dxf, gds, svg, png, bmp, gif and tiff input,
you can also print the picture or any original Silhouette Studio material and then cut it out. The print out is supplied with registration marks that the cutter detects and then starts cutting.

There are lots of videos on Youtube showing this; the cutter is quite popular amongts "scrappers".

Oops, forgot to mention that in this thread.

It is the Silhouette Cameo.

Its primary customers are the scrap bookers, so if have you any female (what, me prejudice?) friends, sisters, mothers or daughters around you it should be easy to sell in the idea of getting one.

For us diyaudiees it can be used for making membranes for AMTs but also ordinary ribbons as its capacity is 300x2500 mm (12"x10').
By using self adhesive vinyl one can use it to make logos for your diy speaker or front panel for your diy amplifier.

Its around $300 in the US, £260 in the UK and €300 in other European countries.

Look, only two hands!

Made a fixture in order to apply the 74 film easier:

Some guide pins on the frame.

Apply the film according to the markings:

Fixate the newly cut membrane on the bottom:

Put the frame on top and just gently press down the film from the middle:

The membrane came off really easy, in fact, I think I could have left out the cutting of the paper.

Slight mistake though. At the pen, the aluminium is only 4 mm when it should have been 5 mm.
Well, that´s easy fixed and then cut a corrected membrane.
