I'm glad to hear that Yamaha isn't scrap.
I would have to go through one to see what I would want to do with it. The physical is every bit as important as the schematic. But these are basically home amp designs beefed up. That is why they sound so good. The 2100 is another really nice amplifier, bedroom size!
I think I remember a PC-5002. It was a real animal as I recall. Given a choice for home, I think I might lean towards the P2200. The PC series was a little less a home amp design. Although, I haven't repaired as many of these. Maybe all I need is to become more familiar with them. Warranty repair gives you very little time, non-warranty service allows more attention to detail. They were all good sounding and reliable. I think the weight pushed the market to Carver and others. I'm extremely familiar with Carver power amplifiers.
