Just my 5c.
I think, the chinese on Ebay started the misconception, that 6N1/6N11 were replacements for ECC88/6922/6DJ8,
There´s only one (russian) tube, that properly replaces ECC88/6922/6DJ8, and that is 6N23P.

I did initially use a pair of 6N1P cryo tubes and the results are in the first post, so they did seem to work.
I must start some listening tests.

Attached screenshots with the X10 driving a Sowter 9545 transformer through a NAD 326BEE CD input with the preamp attentuated by 20db to suit the Behringer audio interface.
I am testing the transformers in preparation for use as differential to single ended using the X10 as a DAC outout buffer.

Ouput coupling capacitor increased to 100uf PP connected to the Sowter transformer primary. Secondary load is the 100k input impedance of a NAD 326BEE.
UAC222 used for measurements. Tube is 6N11. Lowest line is the soundcard cal.
Lower trace is with 2.2uf ouput cap.
