Luke,
i do not ignore you or anybody else. You will get your boards as soon as i get them. I cannot send them out before i get them. If you are not happy with this let me know and i'll send your money back.
To organize a GP takes a lot of time and effort not to mention to pull everything trough. The biggest challenge is to identify everyone. First you have the diyaudio.com nick and maybe a email add from diyaudio.com, then the paypal email add differs from that.
If you want to take over the GP i'm happy to transfer it to you, and then you'll see how much time it takes. All this time has to come from somewhere, i have a normal job to do, family to take care of so i get around 1-2hour window during friday and saturday nights (10pm-12pm) to spend on my hobbies.
I'm just trying to contribute to the diyaudio world and if you are not happy with it i'll leave the whole thing alone.
Thx,
Kari

Kari,
Im still awaiting for my aleph-x boards. I do not want my money back, just the boards which I think are very good quality. And you have ignored my e-mails for weeks.
I do not have the time to arange this group buy so I wont, and I appreciate the effort people put into group buys. All Im asking is for a reply and a status on my boards. If I seem unfair, Im sorry Im just frustrated after awaiting weeks for a reply.
Any idea when I can expect my aleph-X front end boards?
Thank you

I know what this is like. the Aleph Mini Group buy was lots of work. Some people thinks it just akes a few hours when it takes days and lots of time.. i was up till 3 am doing kits for people.. Lets just say this is not a walk in the park..
I know it is a lot of work, but it would not be too hard to add "I expect delivery in 4 weeks" when Kari said ordered the production run. I thought the prototype delivery was the production delivery, too, since nothing had been said about a protoype run beforehand.
None of this is a big deal, but some of us are blessed with a little more time to play with this stuff and we are eager to get going. A little communication goes a long way.
Thank you, Kari, for giving up what little free time you have to organize this buy.

Thats exactly what I meant to say🙂
Kari do you have any boards left or could you share the layout for maybe people who to order separetly?
You will be able to order separatley later on, now i need to "serve" those that signed up on the wiki.

Hi Kari,
Will you be able to post a schematic of the xBosoz with the CCS included?
Thank you,
-David

Kari,
I originally signed up for 3 psu and 3 x-bosoz boards.
I just realized that will only get me one channel and a half....
I would like to get 4 of each instead of 3. Is this possible?
Should I update the wiki?
I know the boards will be available for separate orders after, but I would like to get them in the same shipment if possible.
thanks.
Jorge

Jorge,
Actually 3 boards will get you 3 channels. So if you are looking for a stereo you only need 2 main boards.
Now, if you are planning to make 2 stereo units or a four channel one you will need 4 such boards.
1 board = 1 channel

that is correct.... my mistake... again
I meant to say... one stero plus one channel.
I want to make, two stereo versions, so I do need another board.
kari?

Yes.. that is why i asked 😀
Ive Been reading about xlr/rca connectors and cables.. to my readings im not going to see much diference between them to so for now ill stick to rca cables. Just nice ones not cheap ones.
I think the difference isn't so much in cable quality. It's that with XLR you have +/- signals and a ground (balanced). With RCA you have + signal and ground (unbalanced).
One of the chief advantages is that interference that enters the cable will be equal in both signal lines, and since they are 180deg out of phase, then interference will be cancelled out.

and the other small disadvantage is that if you use a X-BOSOZ unbalanced it isn´t really an X anymore! All the advantages of supersymmetry are gone 🙁
In my experience using it unbalanced (even with very expensive cable) will not sound as good as using it balanced (with a cheaper cable).

Maybe some one can post a link to a Alps pot for then ? so i can try balanced...
I will be using either a motorized pot or a DS1802 digital volume control (2 daisy-chained to handle the balanced input).
