Hi Brian, I'll probably start in late Feb - It will be a single board that will fit into the existing X-Altra Mini II Housing. I think a lot of folks balked at the inter-module wiring hence the alternative approach.
🙂
🙂
Thanks Andrew,
I listen a lot to BBC Radio 3 music programmes. A constant source of annoyance is the BBC's total disregard
for phase and even correct L-R channel positioning. They blame the 'phone company whose lines carry the BBC
programmes to the local relay stations.
Would it be possible to have phase and channels switchable without increased design problems/vast cost implications?
Thanks again,
Brian

I'm happy with the modular approach but tend to balk at the hard wiring approach. My preferred wiring uses the likes of Molex KK 254 board connectorsI think a lot of folks balked at the inter-module wiring hence the alternative approach.

If you pretest the boards and make sure they are working correctly, hard wiring should be easy. That said, I understand why it is a big project. The ‘big board’ will streamline the design.
Brian, yes - I will add that feature. Thanks Andrew,

Chris, see the picture below. For MM link 1-2 and 5-6 and nothing else. For MC, link 1-3 and 5-7 and 6-8 and 2-4
you can get the 2.54 mm pin header shorting links from RS, or better still off Amazon.

Andrew

Hi Bonsai,
I made a purchase from your store yesterday. I have no order confirmation from you. Are you working?

Bonsai,
Loving the preamp but it still has some bugs and I need to open it up to make some changes. I will add the inductor to the headphone amp to keep it current though I use another external headphone amp. When I use the balanced out it pops when I mute the volume, I did not ground the balanced plugs to the circuit board so I need to see if that fixes it ( though again I use the single ended out mostly) and most annoying when I touch the unit and there is any static discharge the unit switches itself off, any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bill
