I got more requests for resistors than I really expected, so will need to reorder some more from DigiKey. I can accept orders for next two days: the resistors are CAD$0.50/pc, shipping $6, paypal same way as with boards.

It's not drawn. For the amp, it's very easy: 4 rectifiers, 2 caps and resistors in between. It was described here: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=1237660#post1237660

As to other features, like active regulators, you need to figure them out yourself following products datasheets. If I build one, I will post pictures.

You don't really need to match regulator parts.

However, please note that active regulation was not intended to be used with F4; the current draw is too high for onboard regulators to handle. The regulators are the option that you can use with preamp, DAC, CDP etc.

Looks like you've put together another great DIY project. Is there any chance you will get more matched semi's?

I'm interested in making a pair of F4 monoblocks.

The semis I got were extras from 200 pcs I bought for my personal use ( I kept 4 stereo sets). I'm not tempted to do it again, although it wasn't a big deal either. Maybe someone else would like to run a group offering? 😉

Is it difficult? I could possibly be talked into it if someone would explain how to match them. I noticed on one of your pictures above there seems to be some type of test board, is that what you use?

I suppose a power supply and DMM are necessary, what else?

On that board I have resitors to set current and the sockect to install Mosfets. Additionally, I used 15V poer supply.

Depends on a type, you can put there at least 22,000uF caps each.

I have matched sets of transistors available if anyone needs any for building their projects. The models I have enough of right now are:

IRFP240 - pairs within 1mV $5 a pair
IRFP240 - group of 3 within 3mV $13 per set
IRFP240 - group of 6 within 6mV $25 per set
IRFP240 - group of 12 within 9mV $55 per set

IRFP9240 - pairs within 1mV $5 a pair
IRFP9240 - group of 3 within 3mV $13 per set
IRFP9240 - group of 6 within 6mV $28 per set
IRFP9240 - group of 12 within 9mV $55 per set

These are matched on a digital transistor matching machine. Shipping will be by either USPS flat rate or UPS, whichever you prefer.
