Thank you, I had seen it! Do you know something ? I receive monthly a check for a sum of money that I will not reveal to activate the forum a bit, without me, this is very boring ! 😳😊Purifi's description of why they went with that surround (half way down the page)
Paul Ebert say :None, yet. Too many house repair projects at the moment. And, I'm early in the design phase - still researching midranges. I purchased the PTT6.5s and a pair of Bleisma T25Bs via a group buy and on sale respectively and that's about as far as I've gotten.
Sorry if I misunderstand, but generally when doing a group component purchase, a specific layout is also shared, so you don't have to "crack your head" and play it safe. I almost always did that.
Except once ...... but they sounded pretty good after all ....

I should pay more attention as someone has already posted a link (page 1), now I'm just cluttering a very informative thread😗Thank you, I had seen it! Do you know something ? I know some people are different, have a desire to impress, whether it's a decor thing, cars, etc, or to feed their own shortcomings or obsessions.Aesthetics being different than what you prefer doesn't make them tacky
But in my home I just don't want it to be a tacky place to sit down in a room and give off some vibe of equipment "in your face" with bare speaker cones and stuff.
You don't understand, I pay attention to the things that interest me. I opened this thread with a title that is very clear.I should pay more attention as someone has already posted a link (page 1), now I'm just cluttering a very informative thread😗
This is not to discuss the specs of the Purifi drivers.
There is another thread for that.😗👎
I agree with cheapvegaI know some people are different, have a desire to impress, whether it's a decor thing, cars, etc, or to feed their own shortcomings or obsessions.

If you can see my living room, all drivers in sight. Why should I cover them?
I like them the way they look and I don't consider it in bad taste, and they are a good hook for my visits, everyone says, wow, how big are those things ! can I hear them ? 😎
Purifi's description of why they went with that surround (half way down the page)
So the speaker surround alternately 'rolls up' and 'rolls down' in an attempt to equalise its mechanical resistance to the 'out' and 'in' movements of the loudspeaker cone.
And the ugly folds and dimples help to ease the transition of the cone between the 'out' and the 'in' movements.
It's beginning to make some sense!
And what you said is exactly what I don't require or need when I have visitors stop by.I agree with cheapvega

I've no need to impress my guests with my audio equipment, nor have them gawk at bare speaker cones.
Usually, with guests, they sometimes remark about how "cozy" and "comfortable" my home is.
And if my stereo happens to be playing, they'll sometimes make a remark about the nice sound they hear.
Not how big my woofers are.
Bottom line, my guests usually come over for conversation, food, perhaps a movie on TV, that's where my world is at.

I can just imagine you sitting there with your pipe and slippers, while some 'Easy Listening' music plays in the background! 🙂

You started first! I praised your room and you slap me back criticizing my tastes?
Where has empathy been in these times ? , God save us ! 😢
Let's hope the CSD plot turns out to be less ugly than the surrounds !![]()
I bet they will look alike, there will be many peaks and valleys ...... 😞
It is that as I am more and more deaf, I can pretend and I enjoy the faces of my guests with the thunderous bass and high SPL ! 😳well this thread if nothing else proves the old addage that people listen with their eyes!
Why do you have to insult people for not liking the things you do? Nobody is saying you have to uncover your drivers, so there's no need to be so defensive and antagonistic.I know some people are different, have a desire to impress, whether it's a decor thing, cars, etc, or to feed their own shortcomings or obsessions.

- Loudspeakers
- Multi-Way
