i did. i bought a pair when they first came out.
mine are 12.5wx20"dx48"h. i added a 5" fountek ribbon cd2 tw. on the front
baffel at the top. to me they sound great no need for a sub but i do have one.
will try to get my son to post photos. whit all the wood they get very heavy.
they are single layer.

Thanks for the reply,Thats great news, this is what I wanted to here. The thing was, I was going to build them for my fe208e sigma drivers I just got and I also have the fostex t900a super tweeters to go with them but, I happen to come across the fe206esr here and bought them. I have been on the look out for them for a while. I couldn't wait any longer so I found a pair of 208e sigma and bought them, just my luck I came across the fe296esr with planet 10 phase plugs already installed after I bought the sigma pair.
Do the fe206esr need the ribbon tweeters? I am planning on keeping the ones I have to try out. What cap value are you using with the tweeter?

my ears are 69 years old. i had only .56uf to my ribbons. after conversation
with josh at madisound i started adding caps and ended up at 5.0uf.
it depens on your ears i used a clarity red.do you need a tw. its up to you.
my set up sound excelent to my ears. the fe206esr are a jewel.

imho you don´t need any tweeter, fostex has enough HT
specially in your age, make measurements, 5µF seems
to much if you dont cancle the Fostex at ~3kHz

Audioray what amp are you using right now with them? I will be powering the ones that I want to built with SRPP SET 45 that only puts out 2 watts per channel. I have a pair of atelier first horn that is only 93-94 db sensitive and I feel that is not enough at times even in the small room I have.

i think. but for convience im useing a old [like me] yamaha receiver RX1100
that i had sience new. was $1200.00 35 years ago 120 watts.

audioray, I sent you a PM. have you used any low power amp with the fe206esr? I think I need more effcient speaker for my SET 45, they sound good with the fe126en that are in the horns I have now but, i feel they could sound better with higher effcient and the fe206esr fit the bill. my room is 11 ft wide by 17 ft long.

I got my sigma enclosure done for the Fe206esr and you were right no sub or tweeter needed. They sound amazing. Driven with SET 45 that put out 1.6 watts a channel and it gets loud in my room. The enclosure was done in Oak plywood with the insides made from MDF board. I have not decided what color or shade of stain to use yet. I also may try a fe208e sigma if I come across a pair used, I have a pair of fostex t90a supper tweeters.

yours boxs came out very nice.why not a clear sealer or honey oak stain.
isn't the sound big/exciting. mine are a dark oak/min wax wood sheen
rubbing oil stain & finish. allso i just rebuilt my ESS1a m xovers allso wow.
they been sitting in the corner for 10 years.i had the new about 35 years.
for conveince im useing my 35 year old yamaha receiver rx 1100 at 120 watts
the thing cost $1200.00 at that time.

Holy crap! Can you say what are the plans for these speaker cabinets? And details for the drivers, cables, polyfil, binding posts? Any plans for the amps? Nice-looking setup btw. Personally, I'd rather paint my speakers if/when I get to a point where I build a pair.
