just out of interest...
Are there any Woden designs that suit a lowER qts driver? The driver is Tang band W3-1285SG.
Thanks in advance.

Re relatively low Q drivers, I haven't done any to date since they do not suit QW boxes of this type especially well if (note caveat) the objective is to extract a modest amount of LF output. These things are relative of course given the size of the drivers, & the TB mentioned has even less radiating area than others in its size bracket due to that large central plug / cone.
I agree, a 1" phase plug does reduced the cone area appreciably. Perhaps a front loaded horn, or computer speakers then
the completed red eye lance.
Scott,
Lance? Lance is the Baby Lab for the FF85wk. Yours are Red Eye Baby Labs.
I see you are selling these already?

I gave the Lance a try in FC with the RS100-4. A neat speaker, sounds nice.

I should say Lance "box" as the dimensions are close to the 3:2:1 ratios for the internal channel depths. I just don't have any FF85wk's on hand.

TIme to get yourself a Christmas present?

Relief?
Late to the party, but thinking about the TLs. I notice there is no relief for letting the driver breathe as in so many designs. Is this due to the relatively thin material?
Thanks

Karl: Of the full planset for "baby labs" that I saw, 1/2" was used for all fronts, except for Mark Audio drivers wiht thicker bezels. You could bevel the 1/2" with router, but there's not a lot of clearance for bearing.
Just so. You can double the front baffle if desired (& bevel the cutout). I tend to assume people will do this as a matter of course -I think Dave tends to as well (makes it easier for him to draw also), since not everyone will have xyz router bit. It's advisable generally, especially with the MA drivers with their thick polymer baskets.

He does. It is usually a note in the drawings.

Hi guys,
I'm getting near to finishing my microtowers and am already itching to keep making sawdust. Next project is speakers for my desk at work and I like the look of the Lance.
Dave is it possible to get a plan for the A6 version...? I prefer the MA aesthetic to the Fostex
Cheers, Andy
