I seriously doubt that Madisound has a 10 times mark up for their products....
Sold through Madisound. Find the supply chain and that $300 woofer can be had for $30.
They are probably paying about $200 for the woofer they are selling for $300. Not $30 as you claim.
So as a consumer you can either take advantage of Madisound doing the work to find the product and import into the US for you. Or you can spend your time and do it yourself to save some money.
For many of us the convenience and time saving to have Madisound do the work is well the cost. And they are perfectly entitled to make a profit. That's what the US economy is based on, and I am very glad that it is.
Aka Broker.
Buying and selling.
Eventually The Butcher, The Baker and the Candlestick Maker
Can sell far beyond the local town.
There is people willing to help with more resources.
Problem is it is not free.
Hotels can advertise on their own if they want.
They make more money with brokers doing the work for them.
Business 101 never changed, specially now
I have offered help for free, because I care.
Problem is when the rain comes and your hungry.
They quickly forget who you are.

Just a extreme example. More likely $100. Drivers of good quality such as those use harder to source premium materials. They are probably paying about $200 for the woofer they are selling for $300. Not $30 as you claim.
Madisound seem spot on for unassembled electronics.

$469 ... ? It's just air cores , resistors , and caps ? At least they give the whole design with it. Could be worth it.
More fun to learn it myself. "Value added" , I guess.
It seems like they make up for it (margin) on other stuff. like "Mundorf solder" ?

I use eBay alot. I like the way they handle the buyer feedbacks , easy to weed out a bad product. Most sellers are so afraid of a badEbay's removal of selling fee for private sellers is a welcome move and shows that they are feeling the pinch fro m rivals
review , I can threaten one to usually get what I want.
Small sellers are real cool , I buy all those $2-3 silver mica caps for my amps @ 30-50c each.
I Won't by electrolytic's , I did once ... broke it open and threatened to post the fake picture . $$$ back !

Amazon’s feedback system is one of the things that turns me off, because it allows a shady seller to keep old feedback and assign it to a new item being listed. People also have a hard time differentiating between the seller rating and item rating.
I was looking at an item that had over 1000 positive reviews, and working my way deep into the older feedback revealed the bulk of it was from earlier totally unrelated products. I may be looking at record sleeves having 1000 reviews with a standing 4.8, but all the 5 star ratings are for baby bottles and lunchboxes. Amazon is well aware of this practice.
Then, there’s the lovely seller identity crisis where a store uses a name almost identical to a reputable distributor or outlet, but omits the “Inc” or some part of the name. When I view their Amazon storefront I find zero company profile info and no link to their real store. This can be easy for people to miss.

It started with Vinted offering free clothes selling so ebay was forced to follow suit.
Of course the side effect is a lot of business sellers are going to join up as a private seller.
There are already a lot of business sellers claiming to be private ones. They're easy to spot and seem to think that if they say they are a private seller, ebay & the tax authorities should not doubt them.
Yeah, I'm aware of that. When I see it, it's a turn off to me actually making a purchase. This is where greed based shenanigans backfire, at least with me. Just another aspect of this world's operation being so based on lies. Lie - Cheat - Steal. "Own" the customer; at least their money. If truth in actual value somehow mattered more than money... Oh well.working my way deep into the older feedback revealed the bulk of it was from earlier totally unrelated products.
Schiit makes good $#it in the USA.Back to the narrative is WHO makes the good $hit ? That would be the choice of the business model they adopt.

Good luck with your Chi-fi firecrackers!
Some people are willing to spend a lot of time and effort by trying to get directly to the overseas source of a product in order to save some money.Just a extreme example. More likely $100. Drivers of good quality such as those use harder to source premium materials.

Others, and I'm in that group, would rather spend our time doing other things and are perfectly happy to pay a retailer to do the work for us.
There is no right or wrong here. It just a matter of how you want to spend your time and money.
What if a third group exists that enjoys the benefits of both the other groups?
The overseas sources often have local warehouses as a buffer too.
The difference in time spent may be small or non existing. Same counts for shipping time. I get PCBs from chinese board houses both cheaper and faster than from local companies. If the local company is even willing to accept a private persons small order.

What's the Malware Temu scam or is that fake news ?
Regarding OP. Amazon cornered the Market long ago. The only thing that might change is the Market, should China and the West completely fall out.
I have a lot of respect for made in UK and other Western countries who have their hands tied by emission targets and regulations etc. The politician here like to boast about no longer burning coal for electricity; in reality it just got exported with manufacturing to the far east. Things should be made to last and be easy to repair with cheap spare parts.

Yes , they filled out the CCP forms to get a few busloads of Uyghur "re-education" workers. Any Chinese company that can show the need can apply.I get PCBs from chinese board houses both cheaper and faster than from local companies.
Here in "scamerica" we also have the Tennessee corporate prison "re-education" program , you can have your widgets built for 1/2 price by
a crew of substance abusers.
Tennesee companies can also fill out forms and reduce costs with this "alternative" labor.
Edit - Europe needs to adopt these modern forms of slave labor to remain competitive....
