the box had to have a port or it would not have been able to take the presser of such power full woofers .and the woofer would not have been able to perform as well i have tried a air pass both in and outside the horn the outside one works batter ... Your D-class was good but the HI's Crack and it doss not have the punch of a good old AB-class amp .

If the box cannot take the pressure of the subs then you built it wit the wrong materials or incorrectly. If you are worried, you could have always added more bracing. I have put 1000wrms on a WO with subs that could take it, and the box had no problem holding together.
The ports make this into a quasi 6th order bandpass, did you measure ports and see where they are tuned to?
