Why not design and build a fully integrated amp for your desktop or listening room

Maybe even an electronic cross-over? Loudness control and.... Am I missing anything? Oh yes, a graphic equaliser I guess, maybe one with only 5 bands,. For those who like to hear their own voice, a microphone input. And what about SPDF with little DAC chip on board. I suppose it goes without saying, if it is on a desk then USB would probably be essential. We need a few more wizards on board. What would be nice is that each PCB design reflects the designers name and emblem on it. This project could keep a PCB engineer busy for a while.

One of you software wizards could concoct a learning remote so you can program any remote into it by learning its code, it should not be that difficult. Unfortunately I have never done software other than a little BASIC about 40 years ago.

hello Dear Nicro Ras
I can help for pcb drawing till the 6 layers and 3d modeling for Modushop cases.
Phono stage could be MC MM options and input is 3-4 or more paralled JFet or bjt. If you want to we can improve them
Dac could be ES9038-9q2m or Nos style PCM56 etc... I have good options for PCM56...
I dont know what you think about Riaa and other line amps of regulator but I have some new generations LT3045 noise is lower than 1uv and TPS7a 4901 and discrete jfet zener and transistor style regulator...

my other question is;
What is the bias current for your ras eld-rev06a amplifier?
Does it have to work with a regulator?
as you know, it is very hard to find hitachi mosfets nowadays. can we make this amplifier using a pair or two pairs of ECW20P2/20N20?
thanks

Power amp suggestion:
I literally build hundreds of these simple LAT Mosfet Amps amps over the past twenty years that offers good performance, sims well and sounds good. This is a suggestion only. Minimal fuss. I have non measurements, lost them long ago. Have a look see if this may be useful.
It seems simple enough to assemble on a raster board. I have two pairs of SJ50 & SK135. The next thing is unclear to me, the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply are for 35V, and in the diagram you got 88V PP at the output? What is the supply voltage of that amplifier and the real power?

Okay, the list begins:
1. Clipping indicator
2. Loudness control
3. Output Protection
4. 60 watt/ch
5. Low distortion <0.01%
6. Bass& Treble
7. RCA inputs: a) DAC in, b) Aux 1, c) Aux2
8. Headphone out
10. Volume Potentiometer
11. Remote control
I would add a soft start for the PSU trafo.

If having headphone out, add second small volume control.

I think Class AB and 100w vs 60w. Feel free to use FH9 XRK mod amp schematic. There are many out there but this one is easy to build and setup is and reliable.

Analog VU meter w needles. 🙂
