Why English language is so popular ?

What I would want to add to English is a distinction between "you" singular and plural (hoping that it doesn't turn into the sociological mess of Sie vs. du or vous vs. tu)

Hi I don't know what is meant with "sociological mess" but first thing I miss in english is exactly this together with the lack of grammatical gender. There was a man in the Netherlands that wanted to change our "u" (=Sie/vous) and "je" (=Du/tu) to "joe" for both and it had to be pronounced like the english "you". He did not succeed 😉

Despite having to speak, read and write english a lot (as cultural imperialism made my old country a US state) I feel dutch and german are more precise languages certainly concerning technical matters. I think turkish is even easier than english so I learned it too but it also lacks grammatical gender. It has different singular and plural for "you" though and it is almost completely without grammatical exceptions which is an exception itself in languages 🙂

The problem with English is how poor software translation mangles it so easily.

Take for example this advert for a tube pre-amp.
Note:
"Reminder: it's a piece of tube bile"
"The plate is a high pressure power supply for the gallbladder"
"This high risk of electric shock"
"The circuit is not proficient"

they go by the description of amaricans.
Usually thinking, that they are somehow superior to other Copenhagen inhabitants.
Originally from Flanders, I believe.
Thy certainly still make a virtue out of being besserwissers.

They started the whole thing, by making the city-dump into a place stinking of tulips and roses.
Without warring against anybody !
I think they fled from the swampey froggy conditions, they were used to.
Took a lot of good things with them in their waggons.
Girls f.ex.

as for british engines
the first dieselpowered ironship was a danish fastcarrier,
designed and constructed in copenhagen, by burmeister&Waine.
Still to be looked ad a museum close to the main powerstation H.C Oersted plant.
The other one we have in yhe vicinity is Swanmill plant.
And that is conveniently excluding the atomic eyesore spoiling the wiev, when scouting for submarines, floundering about in shallow waters.
I have made UPS's for them all.
