While they last...

Ordered.
I'm completely wacky...

I've got them today.
It was quite fast, Isn't it?
Many thanks, Tomo!
And for Papa, of course.
And for friend Soundhappy, for the constant harassing us to buy these gems.

So clean and shiny.
I saw those cardboard boxes on a photos of Mr. Tomoaki.
And those boxes were in a plastic wrap.
Decades have passed and they are like new.

Wow, I can't believe it. I received a UPS shipment today and I wasn't expecting one. It ended up being the THF-51S "roughly matched" pair that I purchased on ebay on the evening of March 6 from Watanabetomoaki.

It was shipped UPS Expedited and there was no Customs brokerage fee or taxes. 🙂

What a good surprise. 🙂

I received my 2SK180 and THF-51S pairs this week and they were both ordered on the 1st from Watanabetomoaki.

I'm very impressed how quickly they arrived and I will order from him again, the next time I need parts.

Received mine as well, was not expecting them this quick based on ebay tracking.
My hats off to Tomoaki for the time he has invested in getting all of these shipped off in the timely manner which he has.
Thank you sir

The 2SK/60/2SJ18 favor a higher impedance. They might want a little
help or a higher impedance load.

Extracting a part of quote from Mr. Pass. I have a Sony VFET built with the K60-J18 pair. What are the implications from his recommendation? I'm using high efficiency Tekton Design speakers.

My 2SK182ES devices were delivered here down under today as well - great service from Tomoaki in Japan. My other order with THF-51's should be here next Monday - he has been busy.

Mine were ordered on the 2nd, shipped Friday and have an estimated arrival between March 17 and April 1.

I'd say that's pretty darn good service for a package coming from the other side of the Pacific!

🙂

WOW!!! My matched pairs arrived today, a week earlier than than the best estimate. Tomoaki san is truly one of the best sellers on ebay!

Hmm. Maybe I should think a diy elevator up to a rooftop observatory... :scratch2:

Let's all observe a moment of silence in our lives to reflect on the huge loss of life and the destruction of the Tokin manufacturing facility as a result of the Fukushima earthquake 10 years ago. The destruction of the Tokin facility pales in comparison to the pain suffered by hundreds of thousands of people directly affected by the quake and the 20,000 who lost their lives.

After experiencing the 6.0 Napa and the 6.9 Loma Prieta quakes I can't comprehend what the survivors of Fukushima's 9.1 went through.

:RIP:

Yeah, we Hungarians should thanks to God and our leaders, (Here I meant those old ones, who has been lead us here more than a thousand years ago.) because here are earthquakes are quite rare and small. The biggest recorded one happened in 1763 at about 6.3 magnitude, caused 63 death.
So we are lucky ones! (In this regard, at least.)
