A couple months ago I had no intentions to add more projects to my queue of tube amplifier projects. I knew I would have some leftover Linear Systems pFETs from SY’s phono preamp build so I thought what the hell and ordered the Aleph J PCBs to put those FETs to use. That led to me spending more time in this forum, one thing led to another and then I started wanting to have some of the fun the M2X builders were having...
As of today I have either on hand or being shipped:
Aleph J boards and active devices
M2X boards, associated Linear system pFETs and Edcor transformers
A quad of Tonkin SITs for god knows whatever I’ve consigned myself to

This is sick. I just bought another pair of THF51S, this time matched. Now I have to what is next? Wait for something new, build a SB, or both?

Of all the SIT fans out there - how many would there be (that have successfully built and know the SIT experience)? I question this because i'm quite certain the vast majority of the past Sony VFets (CSX1 & CSX2) projects are lost in the drawers 🙁
Mr watanabetomoaki has been selling a lot. No surprise here (and my suspicion is he has A LOT of THF-51S).
@ BRN: Did you go for the 'matched pair with papers' or the 'roughly matched pairs' ? I went with the Quad Matched (with papers) ; knowing with my experience building vacuum tube - triodes, matching does make a difference. Of course that all depends on what kind of circuits Mr Pass is planning.

saw some local transformers for sale at good price...and wondering if can fit for papa's this project...2X22V on secondary 320VA
I don't recall seeing any details of the new projects under consideration. However,
the 2x22 320VA should work well for the previous Sony vfet project, assuming you have
the unobtainium parts.

I bought a pair of that were not matched and the matched pair of THF-51S (with curve tracer data).

By the way, my Thf-51s came from Pras, matched and vgs<3.0. Because of mr Pass his first post in this thread I ordered another used pair of Thf-51s (usd48 p.p) and a pair of Sony 2sk60/2sj18.
Do I need them? Well yes, 6-24 crossover provides the excuse for needing more amplifiers[emoji4]

Yeap, I have a second package still there, I think I got this because I pulled the trigger right away and Mr. Watanabe wasn’t overwhelmed yet...
Mine were ordered on the 2nd, shipped Friday and have an estimated arrival between March 17 and April 1.
I'd say that's pretty darn good service for a package coming from the other side of the Pacific!

Not sure what to think about my behavior of late. Got interested in this topic, as I am loving my Sony V-fet project of 2017. So started reading, reading, then shopping, shopping and then buying. Whew! what an ordeal!
