While they last...

I've got a mesage from fake-seller:

"Can you return me the item? Or. I can return you USD 100 , I will lose some money . But I think it is best for us ?"

So he knows that I'm right.
Anyway, my first proposal was, that he send back 100$, then we forget it.

But, as I'm a stubborn mule, replied:

"I asked, at about USD100 would be the delivery to China.
So if you sent back to me 306USD, then I going to the post office.
What is your postal address?

I'm afraid, that ship has sailed.

Regards,
Gyuri"

We are here now.

I think there are two completely different cases:

One of the following:
You bought a red panty based on the picture the seller uploads.
Then you get it and it turns out it’s not what you wanted.
But you got that exactly, what the original picture showed.
In this case, it is O.K. to pay for return it.

Other case is:
You bought a red panty based on the picture the seller uploads.
(You know your wife is excited about your red panties.)
And you have got a green, and in meanwhile the offer changed from red to green.
But you originally purchased a red one.
You know that your wife will be dissapointed, so you don't need it.
In this case, seller must to pay back to you the purchase price, and postal fee for returns as well.

This is my opinion.

Hello guys,

I got 2 matched pairs (THF-51S with curve tracer data) from Mr. Tomoaki. To simplify, lets call the SITs: 1; 2; 3; and 4.
SITs 1&2 came as a matched pair. And, SITs 3&4 as the other matched pair.

Curiously, overlaying all the curves graphs, it seems to me that I might have better matching results pairing SITs: 1&3; and 2&4.
As I'm far from being an expert, I would like to know your opinions about which are the best matched pairs.

Also, how good (close) do you think these matched pairs are?
Perhaps mighty Zen Mod could answer that question by letting me know if they are close enough for the Singing Bush. 😀

Thanks.

It is the time and place that amongst my very favourites books I must to mention two of them:
Lin Yutang 林語堂 :
My Country and My People 《吾國吾民》
and:
Moment in Peking 《京華煙雲》

I'm somewhat surprised that you gambled the chance on Ali for these devices in the first place, tbh. It's a known fact that Ali is a swamp of fakes. Some of which may actually be 'genuine' fakes, but it's a gamble. I bit the bullet and heeded the advice from Papa on the sellers which are known to have genuine parts.

This is because it's simply not worth the hassle of trying to return the goods to China in the case they're fakes. Or, worse yet, the feeling of using the item (successfully), but always wondering in the back of your head if it's the real deal.... could it be even better with a known genuine part...? 🙂

This is not meant to be inflammatory at all. Just pointing out the caution that many others have mentioned wrt Ali Express. Now you've learned this lesson first-hand. I've also learned this lesson first-hand and now I tend to stay away unless I don't really care if it's not a "genuine" item.

Don't worry, I have four 2SK180 roughly matched, four THF-51S roughly matched as well, and four THF-51S tightly matched with papers from Watanabe San.
But he don't have 2SK182, so I gave it a try from Aliexpress.
These seemed original, turned out fakes, it is a simple scam.
He have the courage to sell fakes, will he have enough guts to bear with consequences.
We will see.

Anyway, I agree with all your thoughts.
Of course, hindsight is easy to be smart.
I could have spent that money on a lottery.
Since I couldn't do that, (I'm not a millionaire)
now I will reclaim all my money and also the cost of return shipping.

AliExpress for things you don't have to plug in to mains voltage is probably pretty safe. I have had good experience with heat sinks for ChipAmps and the like, small extruded aluminum chassis for vaccum tube or solid state headphone projects, all sorts of feet, any anodized colour of aluminum knobs, LED panels and LED strips, and analogue meters.

Filter by number of units sold and go from there as it helps narrow things down.

The furthest I have ventured were NOS nixie indicators and neon lamps probably sourced from some long closed factory, and that might be the exception. Oh yeah, and Meanwell SMPSs.

The rest is buyer be smart.

ZenMod,

Will a whole new thread be devoted to version 3 of sissysit? Or added onto the sissysit thread? Just the pcbs being offered? Or will resistors, caps, and other stuff required to populate your pcbs?

Thanks for your hard work!
