I would compare it to the P17, but with a bit more power handling (60 vs 50) a tad less sensitivity of about a dB or so. Xmax is 6mm vs 4mm of the P17. Cast frame is a nice touch on the P17 vs a stamped frame.
It's also ¼ the price!
I would not compare it to an ER18 or similar due to the higher distortion (old school motor), but will say it is very nice in the mids. Have mocked up an Orion like design using two in a TL with an amt and it was very smooth, natural sounding, easy to cross (miniDSP) and no need for a sub deep.

Very good catch indeed, for 20 bucks a piece I'd buy a dozen🙂
I bought a dozen, six at a time 😀
After breakin all had an FS of 40Hz +¼ -½
Make ya even sicker, they were on sale last month for $17ea
Good Conbination: Scan Speak 10F/4424G00 3.5" midrange and Vifa OX20SC00-04 tweeter.
Very short C-to-C minimizes lobing.
why is side mounting line sources or arrays ok when its not with ordinary multiway speaker design 😕
and is length/height important regarding this ?
edit ... just disregard this post
I thought it was about a line array 😀
P17 is a family member, bigger brother of the P13.
Yes right sorry for the mix up, the P17 is actually the one I have and should of mentioned.
