Congrats & Enjoy
Glad to hear that you are pleased! It's really not terribly hard to create your own sub that will significantly outperform commercial subs costing many times what you have spent! Enjoy! Sounds like the project was well worth the effort!

I'd like to build a DIY powered sub, trouble is, I don't know where to purchase very high quality items, such as the amplifier, the variable crossover, the driver, etc. I'd also like to build this unit with a remote controlled volume control. Do any of you know where these types of items can be found? Thanks.
www.adireaudio.com is where I got bot the driver and amp.
To say I'm pleased would be an understatement.
I don't think there's any reason to get a remote control for the sub, since after you set the level to match the main speakers, there's no reason to adjust it
Remote controlled amps are available, so if you feel the need for one, I'd try Parts Express and www.madisound.com as the most likely sources.
At the risk of sounding repetitive, I will say again the Adire Shiva is the best bang for the buck you can get.
