‘Echo in the Canyon’
Documentary on Netflix with Jakob Dylan about beginnings of the California sound , the Byrds,Beach boys, Buffalo Springfield, mamas and the papas....etc.
Very well put together
Thanks for the recommendation.
I watched it last night and it took me back to when my family lived in California in 63/65. I got my first transistor radio when we moved there and as a teenager I was enthralled with the music.
In particular I remember the "Sloop John B" and "Wouldn't it be nice" got a lot of air time.
Funny thing was when we moved from Lompoc to Columbia SC the summer of 65, the music getting air time there was about 8 months behind what was playing on the west coast.
Thanks for the recommendation.

Speaking of Cali in the early 1960's -- I saw "The Endless Summer" for the umpteenth time just a week or so ago.
"Radio Free Albamuth" from 2010. Follows Philip Dick's novel about Ameriaca's fall to facism... and extra terrestrials trying to stop it.
Framing Delorean - almost a documentary with an interesting take on breaking the fourth wall. Son Zach’s profanity and in the end very philosophical outlook was the biggest surprise.
If it wasn’t for the sleazy deal with Colin Chapman - $17M was a lotta dough in the early 80’s - the coke entrapment deal might never have happened.
