"Citizen Kane" (1941). It's a shame that I haven't seen it before. And to be honest, I don't think I had to if not a college assignment. However, I'm really glad I watched it. A great movie and it's still looking great.
Unfortunately the opportunities to screen a large body of historical/alternative films have shrunk dramatically. I was lucky to be introduced to film as more than entertainment in 1966 by a film buff teacher.

I had a similar experience to Scott's -- but in college -- I opted out of ACS certification to take more electives outside of chemistry and had a phenomenal film instructor., also Shakespearean poetry and comparative theology instead of an awful ACS required chemistry course about rocks.
I will watch anything with Norma Shearer.

Put on a DVD.... Princess Caribou with Phoebe Cates. Great story, horrible cinematography. I still like it.

Just watched Glass. Generally enjoyable, as any Shyamalan film where you haven't guessed the ending. The whole McAvoy-Split thing is the downer, just too over the top to be enjoyable for me.
"Los Santos Inocentes", based on Miguel Delibes novel, is about life in the spanish country during later years of the Franco regime.
Just watched The Deadwood Movie. The TV show was probably my all time favorite show. The movie was a little light fare compared to the series.
"Riptide" 1934 with Norma Shearer, Robert Montgomery and Herbert Marshall. Norma Shearer was femme fatale of American cinema in the early 30's!
