All the drivers for the Linkwitz Orion are available in the UK. The drivers for the NEO seem to be obsolete.
They're not cheap though. Falcon Acoustics have got them for about £170 each, so £1700 worth of drivers.

Yeah, I'm Canadian but I've been in the US so long that the French I learned in school is slipping away. I can still speak and understand it, but not as well as I'd like.

Has anyone heard any of the big Wilsons? I had a chance to hear the watt/puppy a few years ago however it was a little underwhelming.
The JBL 4330 isn't perfect but it sure did leave an impression on me.

I just don't like any of those smaller expensive 2 and 3-way boxes out there. I've heard many (and built a few). Compared to the bigger coned, highly efficient monsters out there they just can't compete IMHO. I'm sure there are many speakers that can do what this JBL can - create a convincing sense of a live performance! If you must go small, single driver full range speakers offer a more delicate and natural performance on a smaller scale.

Several years back I visited some high end audio shops on the west coast. I wanted to hear some speakers that had good reviews. None of them grabbed me or made much of an impression. I even listened to a ridiculous $100k system that sounded uninvolving and ordinary. That is when I decided to try building my own.
In the early 80's I listened to a large infinity system that sounded pretty good. Had a ribbon tweet I think and at least a 12" woof. I would say that the best sounding speakers have all been on the larger side which is where I'm heading currently. I had forgotten how good a large woof can sound and now I don't want to give that up. My current Manzanita build is sounding great with only a slightly subdued midrange to resolve. They sound alot like my father's Big Warfdales from the 60's.

My mother tongue is Swedish, I can speak English fluently and I can speak enough German to survive in a German speaking society 🙂
Being able to speak two or more languages fluently may not be so common in English speaking countries but it is very common in countries that have another mother tongue.
I was lucky to hear the JBL Everest D66000 and they're one of my top favorites.
And what's wrong with PA-speakers?
They can, but as with most any speaker, compromises are made. Most PA speakers are designed to be loud, efficient and rugged / portable with high power handling, then in descending importance things like frequency response, distortion and crossover refinement are considered.
For most home use speakers, the importance of design parameters is usually backwards from that. There are some great speakers that can strike a balance, but you can't have it all with any speaker.
I tend to choose speakers based on design criteria and usually 140 db and 2000 watts of power handling is down pretty low on my list.
