I think, I drank enough, but not enough to forget.

fleetwood mac rumors
Fleetwood Mac, Rumors, In vinyl.... about 40 year old LP that I've had since new... mid 70s release.
Just had my amps rebuilt (*) (clone A5s)... Thank You... the noise level has dropped, there is more black in between the notes (**) and I can hear into the mix deeper than ever... which was very deep already. There is no grunge... you ought to hear how clean Lindsey Buckingham plays his guitar and you can hear the soft tuning of the drum kit.
Then you got to sit down when Songbird comes on. That is always an emotionally loaded song but when she is THERE, I mean, RIGHT THERE, with her piano... well, it becomes an experience.
Not playing it loud at all, no need. With Maggies you never have to crank it anyhow.
I am reconsidering the need for the Aleph 2s. Do I need the power?
I'm warming up the stereo now with the radio... it takes about an hour for the front end to warm up and about half an hour for the SS amps.
(*) I gave him free reign over the amps. I believe he redid the power supply, cleaned up the Rawson trademark ground schema, rerouted the wires, and overall did a readjusting of the bias, etc... he paid excellent attention to the noise floor. I won't tell you who HE is, given the reaction of these forums to such amps ( no he is not Tim ) but HE did an awesome job. I'll let him post about it if he wants.
I know, this is a DIY and I didn't have to lift a finger, but I honestly no longer have the time, steady hand and equipment to do such. I can do the schematics and such but my days soldering anything more than a simple connection are past. But HE charged a very reasonable fee and it's good to keep such guys in the hobby, he doesn't do it for a living. And, HE knows what he' doing.
(**) I got to give the late Harry Pearson credit for this.

Just played John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman.

Morphone - Like Swimming
Just randomly came across it while looking at songs from a TV show soundtrack. Some of the tracks are not to my taste, but a very interesting album overall.

Heart Like A Wheel - Linda Ronstadt
Had my girlfriend in the listening room singing her heart out when Your No Good started, and then she told me, very emphatically, that I have to play this song with her. Linda could sing to my soul.

Linda's great, I got some of her stuff.
Sometimes I get in the mood for her, and Carly Simon, and Stevie Nicks.

OMG! That takes me back to high school (which I hated, but remember and still like some music I heard). 'Change' got a lot of airtime.
