The kit I have in mind has 1 VFET and 3 Mosfets, all in TO-3 packages.
The other option is 2 VFETs and 2 Mosfets for either balanced or stereo,
but getting twice as many VFETs for it remains an issue.

Single - Ended Balanced version is perfect for Diyers who have few extra Vfet's in the drawers. Me included.

I have 12,000. That is why I ordered 3,000 brackets that hold 4 each.
As to VFETs, it's gotten pretty thin. I have about 400 of the Sony VFETs
allocated for the last project, which is 400 channels, plus a few for repair
and my own use.
SIT-1 transistors are also on their last production release. The SIT-3
is slated for 250 amplifiers. Again, I have rejects and a few allocated
for repair and R&D, but that's it.
After that, a few very large parts, 2SK77B and other Tokin 300W devices,
not enough for a production run.
