What is wrong with TPA3255?

I'll make an annotation to the picture. Please see my edit above.

There you go.

Cut all traces at the output vias. Put the caps in series with the inductors (+++path), connect the side to GND (--- path). Connection to ground is the cyan line, the connection is made at the output filters GND connection. That should to it.

1000uF if roughly 2x470uF in parallel. Put +++ to the inductor.

If you are lucky, the SE channels are fullrange as well. But keep in mind, that the output coupling caps act as an highpass with the speakers impedance.

And if I wanted to make 2.0? so it should be? I understand what else you need to replace m1-0 m2-0. and what else?

I do not understand, based on your scheme, where do I get the negative (-) line on the speaker? the capacitor which is marked in red “?” should I remove or leave that connects the + and - lines to the speaker?

@doctormord you are obviously not qualified to understand the sofistification of this cirquit 🙂

Maybe mail the customer support of YJHIFI, they sure will explain electronical basics to you!

Most of all in this story, I am surprised to those people who listened to it and put 5 stars to the seller, to the goods, wrote good reviews. They sold so much of this **** all over the world and far from for $ 20 and for $ 80-90, so much is the original board from TI.
The aliexpress dispute was approved by me at half the cost, since I initially opened it only because of noise and bad sound.
Now I am trying to remake the board as shown by the respected @doctormord. I am very grateful to him for such active participation in my problem) and I will definitely contact YJ on this issue.

Maybe a missunderstood genius at work.
Wonder wether he wanted to realize some kind of passiv high pass for the satellite speakers, which does not work the usual way, as these amps dont drive capacitive loads.

There is no Chinese board with a working 2.1 x-over on the market. Maybe they have not translated audio filter books yet? Or, there is nothing to copy in the West.

See, you usualy use these chips in bridge mode. One chip= 4 single ended amps. Because of the single voltage supply, they need a capacitor (here 470 uF) to get the DC away.

If you bridge these 4-amp chips, you do not need these DC blocking output capacitor. Of course, you now have only a stereo amp left!

2.1 uses 2x single ended and one bridged, makes 3 channels.

I am very sorry ... i am an idiot...i was "fixed" in my head at the inputs...BTL.... 🙄this was the reason i didnt catch this.........aaaah this heat/sun... 😉

TPA3255 DS:
in SE mode.....OUTC and OUTD are the single ended output channels and OUTA and OUTB are the BTL channel for 2.1 operations

thx chris

I now understand the circuit YJ is using here, it is fine and has two advantages.

- DC blocking caps only need half the voltage rating
- DC blocking caps only need half the ripple current rating

So it should do as build if the layout is sufficient.

Do you mean that the YJ scheme is correct? or is it a joke? I did as indicated by you, the sound became normal, there is no busting with high and low frequencies, the sound is uniform. I really didn’t find capacitors for 1500uF, it’s night here, and set it to 2200uF. I do not know what it affects. and yet I did not understand and did not make the jumper that you have in the picture drawn from the TPA3255 itself to the ground. I did not understand from what contact 3255 to take it. there are two problems left, the noise is still there, but I think it is because of Bluetooth and the second does not respond to the rotation of the bass knob. but now I can listen to him and not suffer) thank you very much!
