What is wrong with op-amps?

I looked at the Arcam post. Of course more top end was realized! look at the differences in slew rate. OOPS! I was told not to lecture about slew rate. Carry on in your 20v/us world and just act like the Arcam guy doesn't exist. Don't worry about those micro transients since you can't measure them.

I truly believe that the AD825 is a better IC. Where did you get a dual?

There isn't. It's dualed with Browndog.

May be this sharp slope can explain the "viel-ness" of OPA2134?

Am i missing out by using op amps, am i to somehow believe stuff like this? [Review] Sparkos Labs - Discrete Op amps SS3601

Or is it just more snake oil like it seems?

Hilarious stuff, lots of nonsense.

My devices use two pole compensation which is impossible to do in monolithic op amps since it takes 2 capacitors. Capacitors are very hard to make inside of ICs.

12V/usec slew rate won't win any friends. The schottky clamps across the input don't help with slew either.

Nope. Here is a heavy coming around. The only part he got wrong is the "won't hurt too much". Au contraire! The more speed the better. Salt with RF layout techniques and the sky is the limit.

"On the amp SR issue -- 100v/usec seems like a better new minimum 'standard' for HiEnd. Even higher wont hurt anything too much."

Well the dilbert was published on a monday and today is sunday, so either you are the funny or your humour has fallen completely flat.

I have a high slew rate power amp. Can't say it does anything amazing.
