You can't have it both ways.
I remember watching a certain episode on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson way back when. I do remember the episode brought to my attention recently while googling a particular topic about intelligence. So I YouTubed it. He had the woman adorned with the highest IQ ever recorded on as his quest. She made a comment commensurate to the fact intelligence is not related to education.. to be precise, (well, maybe not but close), "everyone has the ability to be an Einstein". It depernds on how you employ what we all have. Savants are not Einsteins.

Here's a video on the one-way Tesla valve.

That's a brilliant Tesla invention Bonsai. 😎

Tesla's work was thought important enough that, on his death in 1943, the U.S. government’s Office of Alien Property seized many documents relating to his work rather than risk Tesla’s technology falling into the hands of America’s wartime enemies.

After all, Tesla had been working on Teleforce, as this newly published article explains:

https://www.thevintagenews.com/2022...id=fb60cca8cf1211ecba40a40f3b73e455&firefox=1

Some of Tesla’s files are still missing, and what exactly was in those files remains shrouded in mystery - and ripe for conspiracy theories.

After years of fielding questions about possible cover-ups, the FBI finally declassified some 250 pages of Tesla-related documents under the Freedom of Information Act in 2016.

Something to watch in a little while.
1500 CEST? What is CEST? 😕

That's 1400 Hrs British Summer Time, I think. An hour to go... it had better be interesting. I have lots to do.

Meanwhile, thoughts on why I have upgraded Tesla to MOSTLY bunk from TOTALLY bunk...

I concede his mechanical diode or one-way pipe works after a fashion with fluids prone to turbulence. I suppose this is why pigeons don't fly bacwards either, and birds on chimney tops always prefer to face the wind. But apparently only a 4:1 diode ratio in electrical terms.

Galu's quoted Tesla "Teleforce" Metal Ion Death Ray is definitely bunk based on the linked evidence. 🙄

Velocity: 270,000 MPH (Seems slow to me, nowhere near lightspeed.)
Punch: 100 Billion Watts (Er 2X the peak Electricity Generation of the entire UK...)
Beam Width: 100 Millionth of a Square Centimeter ( Er, 0.1mm across.)
Range: 250 Miles ( or about 400Km. )

Makes no sense to me. How are you going to power it? Interestingly, modern particle accelerators get close to this idea. The LHC packs a considerable punch of ionized nuclei. Shutting down the near-lightspeed beam of the LHC for the night involves firing the beam at 10 tons of graphite to absorb what is apparently the energy or momentum of a speeding freight train. The graphite gets red hot. The LHC runs on off-peak electricity to keep the huge bills down.

Interestingly, but unhappily for the boffin involved, I suppose a Russian scientist once had a particle beam go through his head. Most of it went straight through him without effect, but he ended up deaf in one ear and IIRC, his hair fell out. I read this in Sean Carroll book.

You might also ask, how are the particles in the Teleforce beam going to travel any useful distance through air?

Tesla realised that "First and most important is a mechanism for producing rays and other energy manifestations in free air. Hitherto vacuum tubes have always been necessary."

That very first requirement is surely enough to make a practical realisation of his concept impossible.
