I remember some time ago,

And I think everyone dismissed it...

I have just watched a program about Magic telescopes.

Apparently the answer is not yet confirmed, however they think the speed of light is dependant on the energy of the photon. They are trying to prove it. They are saying that space time is "Lumpy or foamy" so put simply mass is proportional to energy. They are looking at photons from half way across the universe and comparing the energy of photons against arrival time at the telescope they have early data in the program of a difference of approx. 5 seconds. So unless the photons left the explosion 5 seconds later which they think is unlikely space time slowed the photons down.

I found it interesting in the one theory that the universe entropy would just leave a sea of Protons in which time would not exist because no reactions are taking place..this idea would seem to say you can have something (a sea of protons existing with T=0). I assume this is similar to Michio Kaku's idea of nothing having two states.
Absolute nothing and a zero reaction nothing..I assume the protons would eventually decay into just energy with T=0.

The idea of nothing reminds me of the calm before the storm..all this energy doing nothing with T=0.

I could be wrong, but I think the idea is that maximum entropy and zero entropy is two sides of an instantaneous event. Kind of like the hands on a clock hitting '12' and the lifetime of the universe being one hour.

The interesting thing is even if we pass through T=0 how long is T=0..if you see what I mean if time stops even for a moment how does it restart?😀

I can see the idea of energy or strings just sitting there in the vacuum (T=0) possibly from the death of other universes (protons decaying into just energy)

Then energy creating matter for moments in time with each "Tick" being a moment in time then stopping again.. "Tick"..nothing.."Tick" ...nothing..etc until one moment and the matter creation continues and woof inflation starts.

However this is just nothing..not ultimate nothing which would seem to have never existed..but then again..perhaps it did and the laws of physics didn't apply.

Would the protons have to have decayed for the energy to recreate matter..? If it did its a very long time of T=0..before you get a sea of just energy.

Held apart by the fourth dimension and pulled together by electromagnetic attraction. when one or the other dominate you get inflation because after annihilation you have a dominating matter left behind..either matter or antimatter...depending on how much of each split off into the void between.

The way I see it time simply follows entropy, and entropy can only increase. So, once entropy tips from max to zero, time have no choice but to just keep going. That's the beauty of it.

But I'd might be interpreting it completely wrong 😀

As universe get older, entropy is said to increase. But when all matter has turned into fotons and universe is dark and adopts 0 K, at the very moment when the last matter has resolved, then entropy becomes 0. How a crunch is initiated in this state is a puzzle. The law that says that energy can not be destroyed, just be turned into an other form I believe survives big bangs and thus is why the process of bangs and crushes and is the only perpetuum mobile in existence.

The problem for me is how far can entropy go..can it drop from nothing (no reaction and a sea of energy) to ultimate nothing no dimensions?

As above the idea that you can't create energy..or destroy it.

I would assume a big crunch would be based on mass and gravity if there is only energy and time=0 what then ?..I guess it would depend if the dimensions are universe based or multiverse based. Or a real mad thought are the dimensions in this universe due to energy and something else (other dimensions govern the bigger picture)..ie is physics multiverse or universe based..

It would seem that entropy will ensure a sea of energy with T=0. If that was the natural state of the universe..what about the dimensions it would seem we have four based on a possible supporting network of (String Theory) 11. I assume they are the scaffold supporting existence. Reality is 11 dimensional?

😀 of course none of this has discussed dark energy..unless dark energy is what's left when T=0 (when matter turns to protons and the protons decay to dark energy LOL rest mass =0)

That's why I like Sir Penrose's theory. It states (if I'm not mistaken) that the "crunch" never takes place and doesn't need to either. At the moment when entropy reaches it's limit, the concept of size is no longer relevant, and the universe is both "infinitely" big and "infinitely" small at the same time. All energy suddenly exists as matter. Because, that's what zero entropy is, right? Pure matter.

The theory probably doesn't hold water. But it's beautiful 😀

You have no science or chemistry or physics at even a basic level and never looked up at the stars? You don't have an enquiring mind and have never read or watched any science based programs..You are a student of life and the universe. I've once been told that the quickest way to identify an idiot is by observing his/her complete lack of modesty. It might not be useful to doubt your own abilities, but it's only a symptom of high intelligence 😉

Besides, a theory based on observations is, most likely, a lot more useful than one based on a dream. Working professionally with something gives you a substantially larger amount of observations for reference.
