A few thoughts..

1..what if there is no other life in the universe?

2..there are billions of life forms on earth but only man has made any technology..

3..if you wanted to make a better hand than one on a human body what would it look like..ie a claw cannot make technology.

4..if the universe created man it also created the computer and technology..

5..if the universe created man what could the universe create that is better than man? two thoughts are from a body point of view and a mind point of view.

6..if man is sentient and is part of the universe is the universe sentient.

Regards
M. Gregg

1. Impossible! Because that would give us a very good reason to disappear faster!

2. Yes, but we learn from all them life forms.

3. No idea.

4. No, what created man was a particle of something. ...And man created computers and developed technologies, and still.
And it's all part of the universe, us too, unfortunately.

5. See #4 above. ...And how the heck should we know what is worst than man!
- Methinks that you are having an out-of-body experience right now.

6. Sounds about right.
* What is the true meaning of "sentient" ? ...A perception of an emotional state within the coffin of existentialism?

Mister Bob

On a planet without oxygen would there be any fire?

Without fire what technology would exist?
Can there be high technology without electricity?

Regards
M. Gregg

a) Without oxygen there will be extinction.

b) Without fire we wouldn't be cooking anymore, but eat flesh; like some undiscovered tribes do.

c) Without current there are no more stereo sound systems.

Mister Bob

To finally enter, is to be?

I enter this thread, so I am!

I am less than a grain of sand on Miami Beach, and I hope not to be the grain in your eye.

Mankind has occupied less than one second of Earths existence if that existence was represented by one year.

How good is it that we have opposing thumbs?, we have destroyed the Garden of Eden with it.

Imagine what life would exist on this wonderful planet if we never existed?

Intelligent Life?

We are cancer!!

Except for the artists that create, and my stereo, and the German Soccer team of course.

Just nothing if, but is probable there is.

I guess the human been is the result of the evolution from a bacteria, the structure of the DNA and RNA is the same in the whole living been in the earth, I say from RNA viruses until human been.

3..if you wanted to make a better hand than one on a human body what would it look like..ie a claw cannot make technology.
Of course is possible in create technology from a well design Claw, the hand is a claw specialized in the opponent movement, fylogenetics sustain theory that the muscle that give us evolution was the opponent (that muscle's contraction produce a plier between the thumb and the fingers.

4..if the universe created man it also created the computer and technology.
if a = b, b = c then a = c

5..if the universe created man what could the universe create that is better than man? two thoughts are from a body point of view and a mind point of view.
Yes. But the question is true?

6..if man is sentient and is part of the universe is the universe sentient.
Carl Sagan said: The universe needed 15 000 thousend years for create a man, the man took sentient about the universe and with this, the universe took sentient about its own existence.
