Well if you look at the number of fans per year by league who pay money to sit in a stadium and cheer USA/Canada Major League Baseball is number one worldwide by a huge margin at 74 million with Japan Nippon Professional Baseball number two at 22 million. Sure you will claim that's because they play so many games, but that is a matter of demand, not supply. Oh and I vote that c is a velocity!

I agree that the faking is really annoying. Compared to hockey where faking can get you a penalty, we are at the other extreme.

I think they should rethink soccer rules.
First, there not enough goals
2, too much faking
3 not enough referee
4 no referee decision can be made with the help of replay video!

I think there should be less player. I'm a life long soccer player, and I personally prefer to play futsal (interior soccer). the action is much faster, much more goals, ect.

Football (touchdown soccer) is no better than football (kicking the ball with everything except your hands - ex.; goalie - soccer) when you sit down seriously and talk openly (with good humor) about it.

Both are valid sports when the rules are smart; rules of the field and rules of human protection. ...But we all know how it goes; money always takes over, and large audiences provide for that.
So, a combination of society's behavior with financial gains for the entertainers and their providers; promoters, managers, 'diffusers', detractors, spectators, advertisers, and all that entertainment/distraction jazz.

That's my take on it.
