What is "Acoustic Induction" by designer Jon Carroll

I think it would be nice to go to Brighton and hear the Caterthuns 8. I am one of the few people here still on sufficiently good terms with Jon to do this.

It's a design I have seen before, bass loading aside. Lively and dynamic from a good PA (low Qms) driver IMO. Low bafflestep too, which I like.

Filter details are a moveable feast, of course. We all have our own notions. 😱

When I went to the stand at the audioshow, to listen to the Alacrity Dundee 5's (and other nice components including a passive pre-amp Music First Audio Classic Preamplifier and amp SA1 Stereo Power Amplifier for those interested, the RIAA preamp was Rothwell Simplex MM phono stage and Hana EL cartridge with MCX Moving Coil Step-Up Transformer) and yes, again, the sound was very nice in that small room, I asked the vendor/representative what system or technology was used in the speakers if a TL/QW type of speaker or if a reflex. He said none of that and he would not explain better (if only for the acoustic inductor mysterious type of thing, or like Jon already told us an open cell type material behind the drivers) only to remind me that the pyramids foam panels in the front baffle where there really for some purpose. Really, is there any Patent?:scratch1:
