I am gonna go ahead and be that guy that has to disagree with SY, I actually don't think it's 42. I have no proof it isn't actually 42 but it's really not 42.

Actually O rings that have been touched by human hands are to be avoided in high vacum systems!
Sorry for the delay.
I've now had the opportunity to ask Dieter* about this.
He was absolutely horrified at the idea that anybody would want to subject one of his O-rings to a hard vacuum, and suggested** that the sort of Phillistine who wished to subject their O-rings to that sort of abuse would probably be better off buying some lesser brand.
