Cal, perhaps you missed some of Bill Cosby's earlier (and best in my opinion) standup routines - from the first half a dozen comedy albums (63 - 69).

I listened to them at a neighbors house as a kid. The only titles I remember are "Why is there air" and "200 Miles an Hour."

Sorry for the delay.
I've now had the opportunity to ask Dieter* about this.
He was absolutely horrified at the idea that anybody would want to subject one of his O-rings to a hard vacuum, and suggested** that the sort of Phillistine who wished to subject their O-rings to that sort of abuse would probably be better off buying some lesser brand.
