The philips CD584, like the CD582, has a CDM4 transport, SAA7210 decoder and TDA1541 DAC.

Update 🙂

Some of the Philips CD371's (as I have one) also use the 1541A and some 371's
do not. After I bought my first 371 I scanned the local ads and found two other
ones. The second one is almost identical but uses the plain 1541 and has a extra
pcb soldered in connected to the big cd472 chip. Number three should arrive some
where next week and when it has I'll post some pics.

Number three arrived with a plain 1541 and number four with YES another 1541A! 🙂
Only thing is these players do suffer from bad displays and I now have two working
players and two for parts.
