depends on the number of connectors you need and the voltage. I've used everything from Switchcraft DIN connectors, to Neutrik SpeakON / PowerCON to mil-spec Amphenol aerospace connectors.
DigiKey has an easy to use cable filter. Others do too. An option to multiconductor connectors are strain reliefs (like the Skintops currently featured on alliedelec.com's main page). Not as conveniently disconnectable (if that's a word), but then again accidental shock is impossible and it's way cheaper.
I use a 5 pin XLR for HT and earth, and 2.1mm or 2.5mm DC plugs and sockets for filaments (up to 5A). Cheap and available. Useful thing with XLRs is the unified size hole.
