What are you Watching?

Finally watched the sci fi film Aniara (had to find English subs). Very good, but I do find all the warnings about finding the movie disturbing a little ironic, as I find the movie overly optimistic. IMHO if it were to really happen, people would go "Lord of the Flies" a whole lot quicker.

Big fans of Monk in our house. There really aren't many shows where both you and and your young kids are laughing earnestly.

Ah, thankfully The Old Man season 2 is back, one of my favorites. Also found a gem, Sherwood season 2 with subtitles! Fantastic, catch so much more of the dialogue.

Disney+ “If these Walls Could Sing” - brief history of Abbey Road Studios, by Mary McCartney. Only quibble is the surprisingly inconsistent audio quality and levels.

Paramount - Taylor Sheridan may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I find “Landman”, and “Special Ops - Lioness” quite gripping.

I only have OTA TV, so other than the national stations it's many decades old TV series, movies, which is fine for me since back when they were current I had a life and no time, interest in what happened on Hill Street Blues/whatever last night, though quite surprising, interesting to see the shows from when we got a TV in July 1950. The Gabby Hays Show was on when it was plugged in and picture adjusted.

Continuing in the spirit of the Abbey Road Studios documentary referenced above I just finished a very interesting 6 episode series (Star via Disney - maybe available elsewhere): McCartney 3-2-1, with producer Rick Rubin. Perhaps a bit heavy on the fan-boy fawning by Rick, but quite fascinating dive into the structure of some of their albums, as well as glimpses of their relationships that some of us might have not seen, or have been forgotten in the intervening half century.
Anyways, there are worse ways to waste a few hours - such as the current tempest in a teapot that is the TEAD thread. 😵
