Watching ," Washed Out-"Purple Noon" Release Performance" on youtube...a streaming performance, August 7th...they set up some five static cameras on a small dock as the sun was going down, some party lights set up...too bad the color changed everything to an Orange pale as the concert progressed as the lighting changed from sunlight to incandescent bulbs...boats passing along in the background...truly magnificent, turn it up...

"It Happened One Night" -- one of the absolute best of the 1930's w Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert!
Looked La La Land again. This is a great film from the interesting and one of my favorite directors Damien Chazelle. To shoot a film in the style of a 21st century musical and at the same time receive an Oscar in six nominations is very bold and cool, apparently, he is confident in his talent.
Just caught up with The Boys. Karl Urban is just so enjoyable to watch.
Also watched Coup 53, the deep dive on the Iranian coup. Too dry to enjoy for me.

Somebody dumped it in the Street. I gave it a go after a second-thought.
Absolutely astonishing film IMO. Kevin Spacey and Annette Bening act their hearts out. It's not reality, but possibly closer to reality than most of us like to go. And at a technical level, every scene counts. Director Sam Mendes can be proud of it, just like he can with 1917.
Far better than his Bond films.

AW, come off it. We made a robust response to the two Russian Tourists who were apparently fascinated by our lovely Salisbury Cathedral.

What a terrible punishment for them, it is obvious that they will no longer come to see the sights and the spire of the cathedral. In Russia, they were punished even more, on TV they showed them as lovers of same-sex couples who like to travel exclusively to Salisbury))) Apparently Putin was joking at them, I think, because they did a bad job ...
