C.B. Strike. Have to say it's my favorite of the shows currently showing on HBO Canada, although Succession and Sharp Objects are close behind.
I've been hoarding Westworld to binge watch when I retire in 3 weeks. Saw Dwayne "the Johnson" on Colbert - 'sorry, Dwayne, I guess I didn't think that through 😱 ' - the other night, and it reminded me of the guilty pleasure of he and Rob Cordry in Ballers .
For anyone watching "Sharp Objects" on HBO, could you identify the audio components of the (obviously guilty) father/husband? He's got some seriously fancy all-one-brand components, a nice turntable, and, as near as I can tell, no speakers.
We discovered Colony on Netflix. Watched all, then found the last season on Amazon, that is over. Now finishing a "Good Witch" movie. Very warm and nice movie, unlike Scandinavian Occupied that literally brought back depression that I had many years ago, so realistically it shows ruddiness of "New Russians"!

Placing audiophile setups especially vinyl conspicuously in movies and commercials is very trendy these days.

Will cost you a cool 80k.
I wonder what that product placement cost them.

I like the setup in the "The Mechanic" remake, at least they played it (briefly).
I always liked the clockwork orange setup.

I’ve seen the mechanic but can’t conjure the scene.
Speaking of Christian Bale sometimes diyaudio conversations remind me of him detailing the greatness of Huey Lewis and the News in American Psycho.
The Adulterer - The Case of the Scorpion’s Tale (Italian Gaillo) there’s a nice setup around a TD-124.

Edit whoops wrong mechanic.
I haven’t seen the remake. Jason Stratham in snatch was good but 78 films later with the same shtick......

Thanks! $80k and no speakers. Never understood the whole headphone thing. Anyone else old enough to remember when a "head amp" was a pre-preamp for MC cartridges?

One of the saddest things about social media is that it has virtually destroyed fan sites. There was an incredible CO site dedicated to Kubrick's secret messages and object placements.

There’s speakers you just never see them as there’s scenes with non-headphone listening.

Ever see Room 327?
Been meaning to watch that as well as the new one “Filmworker” about Kubrick’s right hand man Leon Vitali.
