PapaZ - not only Expanse, but rather quite a few of the recent Syfy / Space series have been more than above par in terms of production values and story arcs about which you might care - "Falling Skies", "Defiance" for example
Yes, graphic novel / video game crossover fan boys - fess up and own it😉

The last SF serie I liked a lot was the long Galactica... all about politic...in Space !
Is Walking Dead (aka "there are indians everywhere, my best friend is my gun"!) classed as SF ?

Season 10 of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" was released two days ago on Netflix. We're starting our Binge Watch. Episode 1 last night, my wife was laughing hysterically. And I now have a new pseudonym, Dr. Mantis Toboggan.
Does ANGEL HELL Worth it ?
Liked a lot the recent Occupied a sweden serie in 10 épisodes ! More and more good seried in the North of Europe !
Liked a lot also the one made in New Zeland : Top of the lake : sordid, but aesthetic sublim and very good actors ...
French series are poor but some seem to like "un village français" Something...

Saw JOY at the movies last night. Wow not your typical movie at all. More a slice of real life with all its trials and ups and downs. Jennifer Lawrence is an astounding actress.
French series are poor
You been sniffing two weeks over the expiration date camembert again ?
Jane Lynch always is a peach, imo.

So W.C.Fields was right after all? 😉
What is
I'm Hard to Please.
Les Miserables with Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman from 2012 was on TV over Xmas, made me gag after watching it for 5 minutes.
Could be my stomach is oversensitive after having seen the 1958 original too many times, starring Jean Gabin as Valjean.

The last couple nights I watched The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
/// With an intermission between the two nights. This Sergio Leone's flick is 3-hours long.
I don't feel immortal anymore like I used to. I wonder if it's another one of those life's crisis that we all go through when we hit a certain space in time...
Anyway, one of my favorite westerns.
__________
You guys having heard anything about Making a Murderer ?
It's about a true story (documentary) about this guy, Steven Avery and is wrongful sentencing...poor guy he spent 18 years in jail for a crime he did not commit!
Can you imagine something like this happening to you? ...I couldn't myself but I sure can put me in his shoes...and it ain't "rosy"!
I've read about it and I thought of asking here...just in case. Because he just spent another 8 years for a second crime that nobody has any clue who did it, but he sure was framed for it. Hey, the guy spent 26 years in jail doin' nothin' and for nothin'!
Can you just imagine...if it was you!
Anyway, I was just wondering if you've heard. And if you did how you feel?
Anyhow, there is a new lawyer in town, and her name is Kathleen Zellner; I hope she kick real axes! Because there's a bunch of very very bad boys in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. So we hope Kathleen uses the right tools...

OOOOuufffahhha, faccia bruta
faccia bruta
Jack Palance with a wig (or related to Henry Silva)
Henry Silva
Instant sociopath, though I did see him in a 1960 TV show as a peacenik trying to throw himself and a bunch of Pacific islanders in front of an A-bomb test.
